Useful Information

PLAIN WEATHERED

A plain weathered coping would be the most cost effective. This slate coping would be made with no weathering this type of wall coping can be fixed level or you can fix the slate on a slight angle by adding a thick bed of mortar to one side. Coping slate will usually require an overhang with a drip groove cut into the underside, we recommend 6mm fluted groove 25mm in per side to create your overhang

ONCE WEATHERED

A once weathered coping slate means the slate has a gradient to one edge of the slate. These are mostly used around parapet walls, when the water runs off to the back edge and then falls behind the wall. When using this style of coping slate you will usually require an overhang with a drip groove cut into the underside, we recommend 6mm fluted groove 25mm in per side to create your overhang.
