Own Transport

We have our own transport service for large orders, delivery is made with a crane off load to the nearest safe location all orders must be signed and printed by the customer all other deliveries are sent out via pallet network service. For all crane quotations please contact the office.

Network Service

Standard pallets are sent out via network service this is the most cost effective way to send pallets to all corners of the U.K. & Ireland(please see below for prices).

The service involves a local delivery company collecting the goods from our warehouse on an over night service to a central hub then its dispatched to your area ready for a local delivery company to deliver your goods safe and sound. All stone & slate pallets are delivered via a tail lift & pallet truck off loading service this will be dropped off to the nearest safe place a signature is required by the customer or good will not be delivered. Deliveries will be made Monday to Friday between 8.00 am and 5.30 pm.

We are unable to give an estimated time of delivery as all deliveries are subject to the couriers’ delivery route. No liability can be accepted by Grey Slate & Stone for costs caused by late deliveries or for any other reason. Therefore we advise against booking trades for installations until goods have been received.

Network Delivery

Full Pallets of Floor Slate or Porcelain up to 1000kg are subject to delivery discount. Please contact the office for a quote.

Packaging

All goods are packed on secure wooden pallets or crates wrapped in black plastic shrink wrap with stack stops on top any delivery that is received without any of this packaging must be checked on delivery in the unlikely event that your goods have been damaged please contact our office on 01766 514 700.

No liability can be accepted by Grey Slate & Stone for costs caused by late deliveries or for any other reason. Therefore we advise against booking trades for installations until goods have been received. We will accept whole orders back unopened with the original packaging within 7 days from the day of delivery initial delivery cost and the return delivery charge would be covered by the customer.

Any orders returned to us which are not damaged or faulty where no replacement products are requested and a refund required, a restocking fee of 20% will be applicable on standard products and 50% on all manufactured products. We are unable to accept returns of part orders or orders which are surplus to requirements. All orders that are placed with Grey Slate & Stone will receive Order Acknowledgement via e-mail this would be your contract.
